On Friday, April 12 MCCTC fielded two teams in the 2024 Regional Envirothon held at Frozen Head State Park. The MCCTC teams competed against 10 other teams from Scott, Campbell, and Anderson Counties.
MCCTC is very proud of both teams.
Team #2 will travel to Clyde York 4-H Center, Crossville on May 7-8 for the Tennessee State Competition. Winners from the state will compete at the National Envirothon.
The Envirothon is a yearly competition for high school students organized locally by Cumberland Mountain RC&D Council. The competition combines hands-on experiences, problem-solving presentations and written field tests. The competition tests students in five areas:aquatic ecology, forestry, soils and land use, wildlife, and current environmental issues.
