Earlier this month, representatives from the Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE) traveled to Morgan County to visit the Morgan County Career and Technical Center (MCCTC) and learn more about the programs and opportunities available to our students.
During their visit, TDOE representatives interviewed Director of Schools Jamie Pemberton; CTE Director Keith Shannon; Assistant Principal Landon Mann; and Career Coach Sarah Newkirk. They also spoke with MCCTC student John Kilby, who demonstrated the center’s new Heavy Equipment Simulator and shared his experience as a CTE student.
The visit resulted in a video highlighting MCCTC and the career and technical education opportunities available to Morgan County students. The video has been shared statewide through TDOE’s social media platforms, giving audiences across Tennessee a look at the innovative, hands-on learning taking place right here in Morgan County.
